I think it's a bit wird when you say it the Microsoft File Transfer Manager doesn't have automatic retry. When you're on the site, locate the list box at Drow down the list and select the Microsoft File Transfer Manager element. Click on the GO button next to the list box and the Transfer Manager appears again.

I used to be able to transfer files without any problem. Now every time I initiate a transfer the File Transfer Manager hangs immediately. I have done a complete uninstall and reinstall of pcAnywhere (including the upgrade to rev C) and the same condition still exists. Do you have any suggestions?

Why does the File Transfer Manager use only 10% of the bandwidth even when no other applications use the connection? My internet connection speed is some 250 kB/sec. This is the speed I get when downloading files via IE from a web site. Downloading with the FTM the speed is some 20 kB/sec.

Is there any reason why the Microsoft File Transfer Manager as used in MSDN Subscriber Downloads would be much slower than normal HTTP or FTP download speeds? On my 2M link I can download service packs etc. at 100-150KB/sec using "Save as". MFTM speed is only 10 - 50KB/sec (very bursty) Thanks.
